How Cookie Run: Crumble Works
What kind of game Crumble actually is — idle progression, Auto Hunt, offline rewards, team size and where to play it.
BeginnerBy ABmonetize team · Updated
Verified as of ·Patch launchCookie Run: Crumble is an idle deck-builder. If you have played the other CookieRun games expecting a runner, this is a different genre — and the difference changes how you should spend your time.
Combat plays itself
You field up to twelve Cookies plus three Pets. In battle they attack and fire skills automatically. You are not controlling the fight.
That means nearly all of your agency sits in decisions made before the battle: who is on the team, what they are levelled to, and whether their synergies are actually supplied. It also means a fight you lose is rarely lost on execution — it is lost on composition, and retrying without changing anything will produce the same result.
This is why we built the Team Builder around gap detection rather than a score: the actionable question is "what is missing", not "how good is this".
Auto Hunt runs while you are gone
Progress accumulates offline through Auto Hunt. An offline clock determines the rate, and daily Lucky Rolls can multiply one hour of Auto Hunt rewards by between ×1 and ×5.
The practical consequence: logging in to collect and re-deploy matters more than long sessions. An idle game rewards frequency, not duration.
Slots unlock through Main Stages
Both Cookie team slots and pet slots unlock as you clear Main Stages. Early on you cannot field twelve Cookies even if you own them, which is why pushing Main Stages is usually the highest-value activity for a new account — it raises the ceiling on everything else.
Your account level also caps how far individual Cookies can be levelled, so a Cookie cannot outgrow your account. See the currency guide.
Where you can play it
Global launch was 30 July 2026 on:
- Android and iOS
- Windows, through Google Play Games
Basic idle progression works offline, but an internet connection is needed for guild participation, events and updates.
What to do first
Our beginner guide covers the opening priorities. The short version: push Main Stages to unlock slots, check your team's synergy coverage, and redeem the codes before they expire.
What we have not verified
Auto Hunt reward rates, the offline accumulation cap, Lucky Roll odds, and how stage difficulty scales. None of it is published.
