Analysis

Computed from our dataset — recalculated on every build, so it stays true as the data changes.

Who this can buff

Octo Wasabi's effects name Water. That matters because a targeted buff only pays out on cookies that match: 14 of the 71 cookies we track are Water.

How many pets compete for the same slot

5 of the other 53 pets also buff Water, so this is a contested niche — you have alternatives if you do not own this one.

Synergy effect

Octo Wasabi is the only pet in our data whose headline effect is Synergy, which makes it hard to substitute.

It amplifies a synergy

Only 4 of the 54 pets we track touch synergies at all, and just 18 of 71 cookies supply one in the first place. A synergy amplifier is therefore worth more than its raw numbers suggest — but only on a team that already has a provider for that synergy.

Both effects, two different rules

The Companion effect (Ally Duration Synergy +25%, Receiving Ally ATK +5%) applies only while this pet is one of your three equipped companions. The Ownership effect (Water Cookie ATK +10) applies from the moment you own it, equipped or not — which is why pulling a pet you never equip is still worth something.
